Dystopia #1
Dystopia #1
Porcelain
3 x 3 x 3 inches
2013

In Dystopia(s) I celebrate human individuality, failure, and folly with a series of small, incredibly fragile porcelain houses and buildings that appear to be decaying. As individual buildings they create space for thought about human vulnerability and strength; collectively they impart a deeper, and maybe darker, message about the folly of carelessness, the passing of time, and the hardships that leave houses empty and businesses bankrupt.
